Annabelle Becomes an Official Guest Performer for KPOP-alypse-KON 2015!
The title and picture say it all! I will be performing and meeting fans, as well as selling and giving away merchandise, on April 10th & 11th at this special K-Pop event in Philadelphia, PA! Other performers include Jungmin, Gemini, and acclaimed YouTube personality, Mister Popo of MisterPopoTV! I'm SOOOOOOO excited about this, like I'm practically peeing myself just writing this after I've had a full day to soak it all in. Meeting fellow K-Pop fans is one of my favorite things to do, especially considering I'm so personally immersed into K-Pop amongst an environment of people who aren't very familiar with the music genre (yep, my hometown is pretty lame sometimes). I hope everyone enjoys my set, which I'm currently planning out as I type this post! I plan on making it really fun and high energy, and it includes a song that is in the process of being produced for a MV! THAT'S RIGHT, YOU HEARD ME! NEW MV COMING SOON (and when I say soon, I mean a couple of months lol).

KPOP-alypse-KON, founded in November 2014, is the debut convention for The Asian Karaoke Idol Invitational's TAKII World Tour. Its premier iteration, KPOP-alypse-KON 2015 (also coined as "Philadelphia's 1ST-EVER Korean pop culture convention"), will take place from the First Unitarian Church Of Philadelphia (2125 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19103) on April 10th & 11th, 2015 (with operating hours on April 10th, 2015 = 4:00pm - 10:00pm EST & April 11th, 2015 = 10:00am - 10:00pm EST). Within the hallowed halls of a building recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as 1 of the top Alternative Rock venues in the country, all of the pieces are in place to make history once again in a vibrant display of Korean culture fandom (as only TAKII can provide) by way of special K-Pop idol performers, a diverse slate of all-ages & Korean-centric programming, a wealth of vendors, an unprecedented community outreach campaign, & much more. There's no better place to ride the Hallyu (Korean Wave) than at KPOP-alypse-KON!! ^_^
There you all have it! If you're from Philadelphia or anywhere else in PA, I strongly recommend you attend this event, and not just because I'm in it. I was actually planning on attending as a fan before I got invited to perform. It's going to be a TON of fun!

M COUNTDOWN Charts Favorite- Week of 2014.11.02
Let me introduce to you a new segment of my blog! I will pick my favorite song off the top 10 on the M COUNTDOWN Weekly Charts (which can be found here)!! This week, Epik High topped the charts with "Happen Ending" and while I sit here wondering if they meant to say "Happy Ending", I listen to my choice for this week which happens to be BEAST's "12:30". I'm absolutely in love with this song and it's choreography (that I'm currently learning right now!) and their stages for this song have been flawless. So, "12:30" easily claims the prize as #1 in my opinion this week, even though it was only charted at #2.

Create your Dream Team Girl Group on allkpop.com!
Alright, so I'm definitely guilty of always checking up on notorious K-Pop entertainment blog allkpop so I can keep up with the ups and downs of current K-pop news. I was delighted to come across an article that allows you to make up your own female idol dream team based on a few select choices (this was right after I was let down by seeing that I had missed the same thing for male idols).
I was given an imaginary $15 to spend on my choices, and each girl for their respected roles in a group held a different price depending on how desirable they were. I immediately rushed over to the dancer role and looked for my all-time female bias, Hyoyeon of SNSD, and felt a mixture of relief and offense when I saw she was only worth $3 instead of the full $5. But I selected her without hesitation, bringing my budget down to $12. Glancing over at the rapper category, I picked CL right away because, come on, she's queen, even though she was worth $5, drastically dropping my budget down to $7. Next, I looked to vocalists, and although I love SNSD Taeyeon ($4), I had to pick Hyorin of SISTAR ($5) because her vocals not only have a beautifully unique sound to them but I think she has a lot more control than Taeyeon.
Only left with $2 to select my leader and visual, my choice was basically made for me. I had to pick Irene of Red Velvet, which wasn't too bad considering I love the rookie group, and Seolhyun of AOA, a group that I also love. Both girls were worth $1 each so that finished off my funds.
So in the end, my female idol dream team was ranked 32 on allkpop fantasy league with Irene, Seolhyun, Hyorin, CL, and Hyoyeon. Not a bad group, eh?
